To anyone that hasn't been, this has got to be one of the best pyro events to go to.

Keep up the good work mat.

Only been to Stanford Hall, but great atmosphere and stunning displays - plus you will almost certainly find a UKPS tent at at least one of them! - What more could you want?

I went to the Belvoir Castle last night, my third year at a Firework Champions event, and it was another great evening.

Although the weather was crap, the crowd remained in good spirits, and the rain stopped just in time for the displays. The smoke unfortunately drifted towards the audience which obscured some of the effects, but it added a certain apocalyptic atmosphere to some of the photos.... :)

I think Star Fireworks won the event (can anyone confirm?), the SMS voting wasn't working as very few people had signal so we ended up having to cheer for our favourite teams; all added to the fun!

Thanks to MLE for organising another great show!

Great photos! The smoke really adds drama. I think fireworks photos can look too crisp and remote.

I also went to Belvoir Castle last night got wet,and felt sorry for the teams having to work,in such adverse conditions, and would like to congratulate, all the teams for still managing to put on such good displays. Star won the competition with an great show, although other teams lost parts of there shows. A problem with this venue is the poor mobile signal, and i had to walk up the hill to be able to vote. Getting out also took ages, but it was still a great night. Now looking forward to Catton Hall in 2 weeks time. Lets all hope weather is kinder.

UKPS were obviously at the Stanford Hall event, as reported elsewhere.

Have to say, I thought Spitfire (the winners) were head and shoulders above the other two this year - particularly in their interpretation of the music. - Only my opinion though...

Loved MLEs mad flame projectors, though even these uprated devices had a job punching through the fireworks.
