I've been cobbling together a drying cabinet in the garage and need to sort out some shelves with mesh inserts.

What does everyone generally use for the mesh? - galvanised steel mesh? -or is there a plastic mesh that would do the job?

I'll need quite a few shelves and dont want to spend a load of money on mesh as I've built most of the drying cabinet from materials I had lying about.

cheers James

Don't use galvanised, it will corrode with the comps we use.

I use stainless steel fly screen mesh, I got about 4m by 1.2m for £30 - £40 from memory. I will dig out the name of the company I got mine from and let you know.

Plastic is better, stainless is better still! Look in a garden centre for bird mesh, or fence mesh or shading mesh. Ask Cooperman for Screen mesh.

This is the stuff I use CLICKY CLICKY. £40 worth did about 30 decent sized drying trays.
