Has anyone tried Xylitol as an alternative to sucrose in rocket mixes with any success? if so how hygroscopic is this stuff?

I haven't ever tested it myself, but this site by Scott Fintel gives a reasonable amount of information about it, with test data. It may be helpful if you're considering testing this yourself. Also when I last looked into it, it could be bought as a sweetener from shops specialising in diabetic foods in fairly pure form.
You can never have a long enough fuse...
