Yeah true, I do the same. But I really don't like making BM. That's why I wanna buy QM ;). And that's why I asked him if he new someone who would sell it cheaper. I do know .5 euro/m is expensive, that's why I didn't want to buy it earlier. But without a good setup it's just annoying to make BM. Making BM eventually takes up quite some time (for good match), and then you have to put in in pipes to.

Isnt this what pyro is all about though? Making and creating the same effects or better by hand?

That's true, however I think it's annoying to make BM and therefore I'll buy it (for a decent price..) ;). I'm not saying you or anyone else has to do it the same, to each it's own right. Question, you buy hemi's? Why not make them yourself? It's just a part of the whole pyro 'thing' you don't feel like doing yourself.

And it's very easy to complain about prices without coming up with a good substitute. People always complain without giving good alternatives, it's kinda annoying to if you ask me.

That's why I'm making a QM "machine" :D
Well it's still in progress (has been for a long time lol) but I'm getting there...
I need to find a way to keep the BP agitated.
I might try to add a motor at the end to wind up the finished product and at the same time (using pulleys and axes) stir the BP slurry.
Don't know yet how to do this exactly but I'm having some vacation soon so I'll have time to continue the work.

Don't know what all the fuss is about! Takes me about 10mins to make 10 meters of black match, which then lasts me ages...

Why bother, just add either xanthan gum or carboxymethylcellulose at about 0.5%. That will keep it in suspension, job done.

Phew that was close.

Hmm don't really know where to get that but sounds interesting :)
EDIT: Just looked around and it seems expensive. Found a website wich sells it at €10 / 200gr and another one at almost €300 / 25 k. Then again, if only 0.5% is added I could do a while with 200gr.
