This is just a topic to show that cork wood and CIA manufactured black powder can be very fast. The video below contained a 12" long strip of finely powdered CIA cork based black powder and as you can see it burns almost instantaneously. The cork is just normal table mat and cup holder cork pads bought from IKEA so nothing special in this department. I find to make good CIA black powder you need to over fuel the mix so I use a modified formula like below:
KNO3 --- 75
Charcoal - 17
Sulfur - 10
+1% iron oxide (seems to help a little!)

When you say 'cork wood' do you mean you used it as is, or that you made a cork charcoal. Looks fast

I cooked it. Cork though is just as spongy when charcoaled as it is when normal so its a git to grind down without it floating all over the place but if you add some sulphur to weigh it down it works a treat. I have now turned it into pulverone so ill see what type of speed increase that gives.
