I've spent a long time looking for well made convolute paper tubes (1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4 and 1 1/2") that are suited for rockets. I am looking for long tubes preferably, so I can cut them to specific lengths.

I have come across many differing styles of tubes, including, supposedly 3/4" tubes that are way too wide to be used, and 1" tubes that just collapse under pressure.

Can anyone give me (and probably others) some advice on a reputable supplier, that isn't too expensive (preferably in the UK)

I did have a look at stell, but no reply to my email yet...

Thanks

Though is probably down at the moment.

Got both pyrotubes and pyroplanet pretty much with a first google search. Ebay's generally a pretty great place for generic materials.

Also, I believe cooperman on the forum will be able to get you some tubes quite easily!

I know all of those, but none supply 1 1/4, or 1 1/2" tubes. I have done many searches online, but I'm sure that their must be companies (or individuals) that have a decent supply of tubes for sale.

Have you tried asking the guy at pyrotubes directly? As I remember getting in some 1/4" ones at the start of his business.

This is where we used to buy them when I worked in a firework factory. High quality convolute tubes. Not sure of minimum order quantity though. Highly recommended. They will make what you want.

I've spoken to Stell, and they sound really good. if anyone wants some tubes, I can add them to my order and make things a bit cheaper than buying from America. the more orders, the cheaper it will be.

please PM me with sizes, (only factory lengths though, so 1m ish, but I can cut them in half too) and ill see what I can do.

If they can manufacture to the same standard as New England Paper Tubes I would be interested, if you like I could send you a sample to forward on to them to see if they can reproduce them?

They are made from chipboard Vas, not virgin kraft like NEPT. Sorry:huh:

yes you are right.. its recycled chipboard, but that's still good.

I'll be putting the order in probably next week, also PM me if anyone wants to stock up on any non-standard sizes too.
