Sounds a great idea to me - if we could find half a dozen prizes (or more) I'm sure it would be a goer... Anyone with any donations, please let me know...

I can donate 15mm Crossette Star Pump and can probably dig out some other stuff as well.

OK, latest (& probably final) running order for the day:

13.30 - 14.00 Arrive and register - Tea & coffee available
14.00 - 14.05 Introductions by the Dept Chair
14.05 - 14.25 Official Business & Address from Chairman & Treasurer
14.25 – 15.00 Guest Speaker – Epic Fireworks
15.00 – 15.20 Progress report on Wells plus 'Getting fireworks into schools' - Phil D
15.20 - 15.35 Report from Wayne about work on the MSER committee
15.35 - 16.00 Coffee break – Videos & retail therapy!
16.00 – 16.15 Danny will speak about the work of the IExpE
16.15 – 16.30 Legal Q & A with Danny
16.20 – 17.20 Introduction & practical session on fusing CAT 3
17.20 – 17.35 Max - Pyrotechnic Chemistry
17.35 - 18.00 Firework simulation software - Joseph
18.00 – 18.30 Buffet
18.30 – 20.30 Members assist in setting up display
20.30 – 20-50 Display
20.50 - Clear Up!

No doubt things will not run quite this accurately on the day!

There will be lots of things set up to see & Icarus has said he will demonstrate his new flame projector.

The fusing session will demonstrate a variety of fuses & techniques and then split into small groups to practice & make some sequences to fire later.

Owing to some problems with access to the firing field, we will be setting up the CAT 4 from about 6-30. We will need help to carry out racks etc and stake down under the supervision of PyroPDC & Cooperman. Those who don’t want to do this can relax in the bar! Only soft drinks for those helping please!

I know it’s a long way for us Southerners, but please do your best to be there & bring your pyro friends – it will be a great day.

PS - Epic have said that if you have any orders they can bring them along to the event & save you the shipping.

I will look forward to formally welcoming you southern types to the wild and desolate place that is the outskirts of Bradford. :D Should be a good day, well worth the trip for any of you still undecided whether to come or not.

Personally I fancy a proper Bradford curry after the AGM. Will go with the masses... Anyone else?

As we could potentially still be at the venue at 10.30, (would then have to travel to Bradford, find a place for 30 odd people) my preference would be to have a meal at the Barn as they are a restaurant. However, don't know how possible this is - any opinion Brightstar/Cooperman as you have been dealing with the venue?

If the vote is for Bradford, I imagine it would be advisable to book in advance.

I cant wait!! will be good to catch-up and see some new faces. I'm always up for a good curry Rich, if I get time I might just fetch a batch of my homemade curry for the AGM. Also, if 2-3 need a place to "crash" on the friday, your welcome at mine... Drop me a PM

Remember as part of our deal with the venue they are assuming some of us will be eating there afterwards, I suggest we plan on doing this if possible this then see where the night takes us?

Also as a side note mentioned earlier elsewhere if anyone wants to again save postage then please ask if you want anything bringing for you to the AGM for collection.

I will be there. Looking forward to meeting people :)

Should be informative & a good time.

I will be making a donation when I have finished wrestling with my Paypal account !

Is it going to be official like the UKFR's bash ? i.e. Guest list & name badges, or can we just turn up ??

Cheers,

Phil.

You will get a name badge when you get there, but there is no guest list & no charge!
