i saw this in the tv listings for the 14 april 9pm ch 4 livens flame projector thought it may be of interest

That livens flame projector is just a cheap Chinese clone of the original - 'Icarus Flame Projector'

That was a pretty impressive stream of flame that thing spewed out. Don't think I would have wanted to be in the tunnels building or firing that thing just in case there was a problem. Interesting that they banned the use of massive flame projection systems after the 1st world war yet still got away with huge napalm bombs for Vietnam and other wars.

yeah, looked like a devastating weapon, very clever design ,a telescopic flame head popping out of the ground to hose down the enemy trench's.
clever man livens, they mentioned that after the war he invented an electric dishwasher! very ahead of his time
