mg powder has been or will be made illegal to transport around the middle of this year someone could varify. if you do find it the source is questionable to say the least.I am new to pyro and am wondering what is an idea mesh size for Mg in KNo3 Flash powder, and where can I get it?
Thanks and hello
do plenty of research on safety before you choose to hurt yourself and you will find that mg is rarely used by serious pyro's in f comps because of its auto/ignition properties around humidity/friction/static/shock, mixing it with hygroscopic kno3 is just asking for it, then there's self confinement in small quantity. its very sensitive and unstable to use regularly and has a bad reputation.
new to pyro, no one would help you make flash on any forum worldwide for your own safety.
sorry if this sounds like a rant but there are different routes into this hobby and challenging projects that will satisfy you more.

Where would anyone recommend a good place to start at, I have been looking at pottasium and sugar rockets?
I Probably should have looked at things a bit more closly before posting
I am open to anyadvice and before anyone worries about me blowing my face off i hav'nt purchased any chemicals yet.
I joined this forum to learn and that is what I intend to do So can anyone reccomend a good, easy and relativly safe prodject to start with...
Thanks for the advice

You could do worse than have a look at the skylighter website, there are dozens or even hundreds of little projects and articles on there eg
Fountains
Index
They also did an ebook - search for turbo pyro, I think it is a free download, it's certainly around in hyperspace.
