Hi
does anyone know if it's possible to make replicas of old British bangers (flash based, visco) and if anyone has packaging for them I could print and stick to the tubes?

Thanks

I used granulated 4fa black powder in some and whistle mix in others and I used visco wrapped in homemade blue touch paper. They turned out to be about 4 times louder than the originals.

Yes the '70's / '80's 3-2-1 Standard banger was a bit pathetic. It was half filled with B.P. but the paper end plug was only a push fit (i.e. it wasn't glued in place) and the tube itself had a deliberate weak spot designed into it.

This resulted in a "phut" rather than a bang because either the end plug blew out, or the weakened side wall gave way. It was all designed to stop the tube having to actually rupture and explode!

If you reinforced the weak spot with tape and glued in the end plug, they were OK.
