Attached below is my video from last nights show. Unfortunately it missed off some of the higher shells, but it got the majority of the finale.

Thanks to everyone yesterday for making it such a great event!

I have also just uploaded a video of Sidney Alford's shape charge demonstrations: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=28u4uz9Itro

I also have some pictures of the fireworks just after setup. If anyone wants to see them, I'll post them for you.

Always good to see pics and footage.

If you are particularly proud of anything, please send it to me for possible inclusion in the next Spark Magazine.

If you have any video footage which includes sound of Sidney or the pressing demonstration, could you please PM me before you put it in the public domain, as both speakers have some reservations about some parts...

The only slight downside was the M40 transit bus crash which delayed some of us, and Professor Chris Bishop not turning up (does anyone know why?, hopefully he will come next year!

Chris had to change his travel plans at short notice, about which he was very apologetic. We had planned to show the opening part of Chris' lecture between Wayne and Sydney's slots, however we were short on time and had to honor our allocated window to fire the shaped charges. I will be inviting Chris to attend a future AGM, it will be well worth the wait if he can fit us into his incredibly busy diary. :)

I will advertise the link to watch Chris Bishop's full lecture shortly.

I shall post my thoughts on a really excellent AGM soon - to reiterate - a massive thanks to all concerned: The UKPS team for the event management and the masses of display volunteers for their nice little show to round off the evening (great finale guys!) - well done all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole AGM and being ably to contribute in some way.
Seeing old friends, making new ones and hand firing in the display as well was awesome.
As well I do appreciate all your support you all have all given me in these trying times for me.

Many thanks to everyone who made it on the day and all those who contributed.

I was much encouraged by our new chairman Steve's introduction. Getting real chemistry back into schools (and indeed our back garden workshops) is a cause we can all rally around. I'm sure we can introduce several prominent new members on this basis alone.

Speaking of which... please can I issue a gentle reminder that we do need all recently lapsed and current members to renew. We'll have to have a show of numbers if our work with the ELR and the UKPS as a whole is to have a credible voice going forward. I'll be sending a thank you note to our AGM guests and hope that they might consider joining us as well.

PS: Admin wise, if anyone found a Kenwood radio on the field and put it somewhere safe please could you PM myself or Phill C (Cooperman435).

Another video of the display:

I have yet to perfect my manual focus skills, but I managed to get the high finale shells.

This is also the start of a UKPS Youtube channel, and we'll hopefully be getting more videos from the AGM up there soon, as well as some from previous events and linking to member videos.

Did Steve's talk get video'd?? I missed the first hour or so due to a large influx of cows onto the M6 and a few other holdups, and would like to catch up with the bits I missed please.

I have to say that having attended my first AGM it was a great event and it was good to meet many of you and to put faces to names, and to catch up with some old faces too! I also enjoyed getting my hands dirty again with pyro - I've been away too long! Thanks to all concerned for making this happen.
