This is a visitor to the forum from overseas, let's please give him a welcome and some respect! It's not a competition. I recall the first Chinese shells coming onto the market, they were dreadful. Fireworkshell has had a pretty unfriendly reception here and doesn't really deserve it.....think on.....Chinese shells may be available for a few pence....at the moment. Don't bank on that in the future. China is suffering a crisis. The workers there in the firework factories have to suffer disgusting conditions to provide us with the cheap fireworks we enjoy. I am not comfortable with that myself and for that reason have always resisted the temptation to outsource my own production there. As for quality, they cannot match our standards in Europe (I refer to my own product range) or even come close.
India will, I am certain, learn the lessons they need to learn and will eventually replace the Chinese when the workers there return to their farms where the wages are better, the conditrions are not life threatening and the demand for food in this developing country seduces them.
The Indians are a lovely, warm and friendly people, please lets give them the welcome on this forum they deserve.

Well said
Our saviours : In the ninth century, a team of Chinese alchemists trying to synthesize an "elixir of immortality" from saltpeter, sulfur, realgar, and dried honey instead invented gunpowder.

I would encourage the forum members to look at the industry in Sivakasi. Okay, the conditions and practices there are not what we would expect to see here, but this is their country and their way. Look and don't judge. I am a manufacturer and have worked in various factories in this country for 28 years now - I could but I don't even when it is hard not too! The most frustrating experiences I have had by the way have been with the Chinese when they are determined NOT to listen to any advice despite my knowing they are risking workers lives for the sake of what we might consider profit motivated ignorance. The last place I visited there - and advised on the implementation of safety improvements - suffered a disastrous series of explosions one afternoon with many fatalities. All avoidable and all at the cost of the poorly paid workers lives.
I fully understand that India has problems and that industry is in its infancy in certain quarters. The fireworks industry there however is long established and very, very substantial. This is where the future lies......an no, I am not Indian nor do I have shares out there!

Fireworkshell, welcome to the forum, it is rare to see a competition or argument on here, this is a forum for genuine pyro enthusiasts.

£9 for a 3" shell!!!!!

Dread to think what the cost would be fpr consumer shells here in the current age had they still been available!

Welcome to the forum! And certainly keep the videos coming. You'll find we have a passion for anything we haven't seen before, the more unusual the better for me :-)

I think there were two single shot shells in that pack so £9 for both?

I thought i would say wellcome to the forum Chinos and i enjoyed seeing your video as it is interesting to see what people in other parts of the world are allowed to buy, regardless of the performance in comparison to what i have access to :)

Also happy diwali.

That was exactly the reason for my post to give chinos a positive wellcome to our forum, wellcome aboard and we look forward to more videos.

Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.
