I have an Indian friend who from time to time travels in the area around Sivakasi. Once, he brang me back some of those wonderful Indian crackers that are wound entirely in bright green string. I'd love it if you can find give us a closer look at a few of these since I haven't seen them for years. They made a very unique, deep kind of sound, not like anything else I've heard!

hi I belive you mentioned those are really loud bombs and can blow a big garbage can up in the air...I had liked them as a kid and still do.I now am more fasinated by the artistic side of fireworks like shells,colour,multi shots,fountains...but i will see if I can do a video on it...diwali time is over so i dont want to wake up the neighbours hehehe

I belive these are called 'sutli b0mbs':

Essentially a string-bound maroon or flash cracker. The europeans have a few versions too, with Al-glazed BP or flash. They make a most satisfying report, particularly the ones that use BP. There's a tutorial PDF up on Pyrobin IIRC.

the real name for them is "rassi bombs" google them and look for videos
