Hi All, with permission from Mat I’ve got available from my current setup some parts for sale.

Permission was needed as I use a standard setup but with my own cables and firing boxes so thought it best to check Mat was happy me selling my own version of those parts off. I won’t offer to make things for people apart for those who buy this system and just then the parts that are needed that are different from standard MLE parts should you wish to later on enlarge the system.

My firing boxes currently use 4mm banana plugs and sections of speaker wire 5m long to extend shorter cheaper igniters to each firework, each wire has a red and black non ferrous banana plug soldered to one end of the cable and two spring loaded wago connectors on the other. Connecting a wire takes seconds and has proved 100% reliable over 3 years of use. (its also saved me a fortune)

I’m selling off these parts hopefully as one lot to give someone a fully working setup ready to go, if I really can’t find a buyer wanting the lot I will split it up but I do appreciate the specialist firing modules are a little useless on their own.

Selling simply due to increasing business and have come to terms with the fact I’ve slightly outgrown this setup especially for the 400 cue plus displays we are now doing and planning for next year.

ALL are tested, working and in good used condition

Standard MLE parts are as supplied, parts made by me are all to a very high standard and I will offer full support should it ever be needed.

I'll list everything I have available, not all of it has to sell as I'll still be using cables and the wires to extend igniters with the new system but I am looking at ideally selling all the firing mods with the system in one go, and wires will be needed with them.

Price really depends on what you are prepared to take in one go, I’m ONLY looking to get back the cost of the materials for the parts I made so will have to price them up properly but labour to make them etc will not be charged for as I see it that I’ve had my money from them in display earnings already. Standard MLE parts will have to be discussed.

Parts likely to be on offer should someone want a fully working setup:

1 x usb serial module (yellow peli case with power and usb connectivity) modified from standard with IP68 toggle/twist switch which can be replaced with key switch at request/cost of part and an LED internal light with switch

2 x Digi seq as standard from MLE (can be more than this but these two are the two I intend to sell as they will be harder to convert to the new system I’m building, I have currently 6 in total)

4 x sets of 4 (16 total) firing modules (labelled up to be used with each seq for ease of identity)

1 more module as above which has been used as a spare should a problem ever occur (it hasn’t)

2 (I think but may be 1) firing modules as above but with screw down binding posts which also accept 4mm banana plugs

1 spare case cover used to pilot hole drill all new boxes if you want to make more in future (I can make you more too if you prefer and supply wiring schematics)

as many 5m extension wires as you want to use with the above boxes

4pin xlr Data cables in 25m, 50m and 100m

3pin xlr deadmans power, emergency stop AND trigger wire (no need to run a bell wire out too it does the lot in one when using the manual trigger button!)

A few piccies. Please not the internal wiring was changed from this origional design slightly to make easier work and better spacing against stray contacts. Ill get a picture of the new layout if anone does end up interested.

What system are you moving to Phill?

Staying with FBW Rich but Ill be housing my sequencers in a large peli case with all connectors in one place and conectors suitable to use with plain igniter wires such as speaker conectors.

Ill still be able to use the extention wires as before as they will simply have bared soldered ends but also the ability to use longer igniters on the large displays too for speed.

Bump to the thread, Ive now prices worked out and am currently looking at having to strip them for parts which is a shame if so as its a fully working setup :-(
