does UK law specifically state anywhere that it is illegal to purchase and import CE certificated firecrackers from other EU countries over the internet?

In relation to fireworks, i can't quite grasp what a CE certificate actually does when it comes to importing, specifically how do customs handle packages like this?

thanks in advance.

Purchase is the EASY bit, pay and they are yours.

However

a/ they are banned in the post

b/ they are banned in airline baggage

c/ the cost of ADR/IMDB transport would likely be disproportionately high

2. Import

ANY device for a country market must have the instructions in that country's language(s) on the device and packing
