Hexamine to me and you...

My god what a pong. Does anyone else think it is the foulest smelling thing ever? I don't know what it is about it but it just gets into my nose and that's it I feel sick lol.

Now I know where that smell of overheating plugs came from in the good old days of bakelite  :D

I don't think so, I'm fairly sure Sterno is alcohol based but in a jelly form. I know what you are thinking though as Sterno is used for stoves and hexamine blocks are used for military style ration stoves too. I'll be honest though, the hexamine blocks I've used for cooking hardly smell at all but this stuff stinks.

Not that bad really, a bit fishy maybe - but then a bit of fish in the diet is meant to be good for you: and it helps make nice blue stars   :)  If you want something really foul, try ethanethiol C2H5SH (or pretty well any other thiol for that matter)
