Hi

i work within special effects, and unfortunately dont use the forum as much as i really should. (my early new years resolution is to change that)

I wanted to pick peoples brains about wireless ignition systems. Ive used the standard Ignius 4 and 8 ways. And love the Galaxus system, for live events and gigs anyway. ( i know it has its limitations in TV and film) Has anyone used the wireless Ignius strikers? Ive heard good things about them, but never seen or used them.

Also, does anyone know where to get a good galvo from within the UK? I have been looking at getting one for ages, and seen peoples "tool belt" versions and also the more standard "box" versions with the needle readout.

Any advice is greatly appreaciated

thanks

Wireless systems come from Easy Pyro or Cooperman435's websites They work but for some remote units you use a LOT of batteries.

I don't see a point in the swing needle blasting galvo of old -one may come from ebay.com (usa site)

For critical work a blaster's safety ohm meter is the best option, for less critical work a standard cheap (Maplin?) digital multimeter works fine.
