does anyone know of a spot test for lead that gives a pink colouration?

 

can u get test strips for lead ?

 

I havnt come across any, but maybe there are forensic strips to test for lead ?

Have you looked at "safe drinking water" test kits.
They are used to test water in wells, and domestic plumbing ,pipe work and lead based soldered joints

Search for a copy of VOGEL Quantitive or Qualitative analysis. It's a classic standard chemistry book available hard copy and on line. All the useful tests will be in there.

yes, I checked vogel, but the tests were not quite what I wanted
