We have been knocking around some thoughts about this years AGM, but we have not come up with a venue yet.

It needs to be centralish in the country - maybe in the triangle formed by Oxford, Leicester, Birmingham.

Requirements are:

1) Decent sized meeting room, preferably with projection/PA/Tea and coffee making facilities.

2) Not too expensive!

3) Attached or very near site that is 'firework friendly' for post meeting display.

If any members know of such a place near them and are willing to liaise with the venue, could you please let me know?

The committee will of course do the detailed organization, but you would be our 'on the spot' representative.

We are a bit late getting onto this this year, so speedy suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm looking into Rogers suggestion, but I think it may be a bit pricy for us.

Steve Moore has suggested the possibility of the gunpowder mills, which could be good.

Other than that I've not been overwhelmed with mail!

Ok, I will look around local to me. Not quite inside your triangle, but not far and on the M1 which would be handy for many.

Thanks Bob.

Exact location not that important, but we did seem to loose delegates when we went West & North.

You can't please all the people...

It has got to be said that woodstock has been quite popular the times we have been there.

+1 for Woodstock, although I don't think we could invite Sidney back there though ;-)

Woodstock gets my vote as well.

Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.

Woodstock was a nice venue but as we did outstay our welcome with Alfreds demo day and with this being "a big one" Id suggest we find a new venue. Im assuming Leeds area is a bit too far north for most?

Much as I like Woodstock I agree with Cooperman that staying away for a while may be prudent.

May have contacts at a Scout campsite with a meeting room. However there will be NO conference facilities, though there could be lots of space for fireworks.
