I am not a member of Pyrogear website . Nor do I want to be !!!!!!!!! . but as it is an open forum for anyone to read myself and anyone else, my previous comment of was it shut down deliberately by the webmaster or any one else still stands as it stated it was shut until further notice. Not what you would normally mention for a software upgrade. , and more so now than before stands.  I follow their discussions with much interest  and find some posts by the administrator most prolific, a question was asked  and kenneth did not seem to like it.

My post about schoolboys is still valid, pop across and read otherwise i can email cached copys.  although it has been tidied up and a lot of posts have been removed I still have them cached for future reading .  He claims to have to have removed a  member from his website  lol. (which was not me)  so I do not under stand why my previous thread on this website  was removed as it was polite  If I i was referring to the anarchists cookbook I would have understood and would have agreed that my post should be removed.

Regards Steve

It is highly unusual for a thread to be deleted, maybe someone will explain why.

Yes, seems odd - I see no record of it being deleted, but it's definitely gone. Would be nice to know why...

The thread is still here: http://www.pyrosocie...website-closed/

I hid it while I was looking into it (a complaint). I don't have anything to add or take away from the discussion, so the thread has been unhidden again. If any of those involved have a problem with this, contact one of the moderators here, I will stay out of it.

I didn't think the original thread was particularly constructive I might add - obviously there is some disagreement between the parties involved to which I am not privy (nor do I wish to be).

I'm keeping out of the bitching, but on a technical note, none of the 'follow us' links work for me.

They all direct back to http://pyro-gear.co.uk/Shop3.html#

As I mentioned on the previous thread.  I am not or have been a member of pyrogear. nor do I intend to be so. Nor do I have any issus with ken. But I do read the posts as it is an open forum to any member of the public to read or government  / state official.    ..... My post was inquiring  about the the forum being closed for the foreseeable future. which to me sounded like it had been forced to shut as it was wriiten across the website  on the intro page.  This would not be the first time a pyro website was forced to close. Luckily I do have cached copy's off all web pages prior to being cleaned up.

Hi Kenneth, I don't know if the reply after my post was a reply to me, but I haven't placed an order.

I don't know if you sell other stuff if you become a member, but the fuse type stuff is very expensive compared to buying from the regular cat 4 suppliers, or even from the likes of the Polish suppliers.

Is there a 'hidden' section of supplies for members. The reason I looked is because there was discussion of phenolic resin on the forum. I used to get this from pyrostuff in Holland but I haven't been able to use their site for ages.

Anyone know of a UK source for this?

Edit - never mind - just seen Oliver Brown does this. (you're not Alex in disguise are you? I'm having trouble placing you, are you also mia or miamouse?)

it is very easy to find and keep cached pages::

http://webcache.goog...wforum.php?f=12

very handy for when pages are lost / deleted.  Webcache is far from the best but it is free and does not provide all the pages as it does not look back far enough. I personally use one of the providers  that you pay for as you find all sorts of history and is easier to use and will go back more or less indefinitely .

Best Regards Steve

Well, I've just signed up for the pyrogear forum, can't do any harm and might be informative.

As for Kenneth and Pyrothrust, if you're going to use the UKPS forum for nipping at each other the least you could do is join the society, atleast you'd be contributing to the bandwidth cost :)

Over and out :)

Thank you Martyn - well said.

Chaps, I have no idea what this is about. If you must insist on airing it via the forum, can you please fill the rest of us in?

There is nothing I like less than bitch fighting within a  community like ours. Kenneth, you have in past made some pretty derogatory comments about people I like very much who have a huge lifelong passion for pyro. You have gone out of your way to highlight what you think are their mistakes legally and professionally. from my perspective, by the good grace of good luck go I, I've not transgressed too far ;-)

We have a lot of people on here who sail close to the wind legally, as do I and we all want to make a career out of it so do our best to get it right. It is in no ones best interest to be judgemental on here and to try and score points.

I have bought stuff from you and Alex and have had a great experience. I trust what people are doing here and the advice I get. All we all want is to explore this hobby with safety and on the right side of the law if we can.

Now then chaps, as much as this one has me intrigued it would appear that this thread should come to a close. So consider it now locked

Phew that was close.
