I'd like to compile a list of proper text books, properly available as hard copy that contain either current or historic pyro information.

Lancaster -Principles and Practise

Weingart

Chemistry of Fireworks -Martin S Russell (RSC)

Come to mind immediately If anyone cares to copy and paste the list and add your preferred text please do.

If anyone knows a supplier for Shimizu's text then please list that.

I wish somebody would write an up to date book, some of them are so dated. But I suppose there is no need with the web,

it's just nice to have books you can hold and read.

As books "escape" onto the web as free PDFs the authors and publishers lose the income that they rely on to live. There is no profit in making books for someone to make free copies available to all, so people stop publishing books so authors don't write books.

Strangely, if I see a book on the web that I like reading, I buy it.

Two reasons as mentioned above.

1. To have it in my hand.
2. To rightfully pay the author for his efforts.

I suppose it depends on your individual moral/ethical view.

The problem being that I might have bought a book I find with distinct errors, in which case I don't want to pay for those errors. It has its pros and cons.......
