Strangely I don't care what the break height is! I just care that it's close enough to be interesting but high enough to be safe.

Let us know how you get on with it. I assume that you stand a certian distance from the launch site and trigonometry does the rest.

But a firework rocket won't go straight but will curve. Will this affect the results much? I quite fancy one.

So long as you knew your distance from the point under it's apache it would be fine, but yep I agree rockets would be a little harder than shells.

Even if your rocket curves a bit, you'll get a rough idea, unless you're using banana sticks and it flies to timbucktoo.  :lol:  :lol:
