Hey all

I've not been on for a while but I remember someone telling me about a better compositions, construction and general pyro info site than Passfire.

I can't remember for life of me what site it was. i think it was linked to PGI people in the USA but not sure.

You're probably thinking of Fireworking.com  I still find the projects and compostion database on passfire better, but the forum community has largely migrated over to fireworking.

Both are very good but very different from each other. Personally I think they run hand in hand and compliment each other very well.If I had to choose a preference it would be Fireworking.com

Both are good, I prefer the composition databases on Passfire but its a pity the forum is so quiet as there were some knowledgeable folk there who have not moved over to Neds site.

I'm a member at both, but i was thinking of not renewing Passfire.

What is the story, did Ned and Kyle fall out, seems a shame to have the knowledge and info disjointed.

I joined Fireworking.com 9 months ago. Ned runs a great forum there - well worth the 40 dollars subscription.

I found Passfire a little disappointing in its functionality.

Fireworking.com, Passfire, Amateurpyro.com, and rec.pyrotechnics are all good source for information there are some guys that really know there stuff, if you can find there posts. But as with most forums-groups you get fallouts, people say things they would never face to face.

We are very fortunate to have Mumbles pass this way now and then from amateurpyro.com.

Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.

Passfire was in my opinion the best resource for fireworkers on the internet for years but the constant bickering and bullying by a small number of members coupled with a complete lack of moderation drove most of the members away once Ned Gorski opened fireworking.com.

I don't think there was any falling out between Ned and Kyle.

Fireworking has become a great site with some very experienced fireworkers contributing to the forum and is well worth the 40 US a year subscription.

Last time I was on Passfire it was dead, the last update of any kind of tutorial was over a year ago and the search function all but useless. I didn't bother renewing my subscription.
