Nothing springs to mind but if you get Red Gum, Barium Carbonate  and Bichromate you are near to Shimizu Mg AP Green.

It's worth thinking about.

“Problems with AP include its reactivity with some metals (ones that react with acids), its ability to form sensitive materials from soluble copper salts and basic organic compounds; its strong burn-rate dependence on particle size, its low burning rate in organic-fuelled stars, its greater apparent sensitivity than potassium perchlorate, its being classed as a explosive by the AFT below a specific particle size (because it can be detonated at small particle sizes), and its requiring primes that do not contain potassium nitrate”

Just to add, from my own experience and others we were unable to detonate AP in our field experiments.

As already mentioned, not a lot. I would suggest getting yourself some Sodium Bicarbonate from the chemist or baking aisle of the supermarket and some aluminium powder. You could make some glitter starts. If you can get some Potassium Perchlorate and Parlon, that is the key to opening up a whole new world of colour for you.

Out of curiosity have you ever made a star before?

As was said in the other thread gecko it's really not a "find a formula from the things I already have" situation but a "get the chemicals I need for a formula that already works" kinda thing.

I have made tiger tail stars and also added a bit a magnesium to them to give them a Fizzing crackeling affect

Pyro Formula was moved to the members(paid) area. Kenneth is quite right in his statement.
If he breaches the current rules by posting a formula on an open forum here he could be censured
for doing so.

Anybody is at Liberty to post a formula in any thread that they are party to, so no reason why Kenneth can't post it here.

And I do believe (though I may be corrected) that I had also expressed the intention to return the forum to its earlier access levels and that there was no issue in discussing formulas on any public areas again?

I'm simply struggling to get to grips with undoing the changes made by our previous chairman

Where is the rule? I will aim to remove it promptly

Lets consider the forum open again and get some decent pyro discussions going.
