I'm looking to source FerroCerium powder, Cerium Powder and Zirconium/Zirconium alloys in a range of grades. Any suggestions other than filing down fire starter sticks please.

Try ebay for the zirconium powder, ships from the Ukraine i think.

Never heard of the others for sale.

If I was making my own I would probably look at a suitable inert atmosphere for both production and storage.

It would be a pain to get to the end of the process and get an inadvertant ignition. WWHHHHUUFFF!! (followed by coughing and cursing)!!

I have some mischmetal - I might go and see if I can crush it.

Jengo carry zirconium and zirconium nickel alloys, they might be able to source others.

Not allowed to say just at the moment Dave due to legal gagging but I will post something when I can for sure.
