Shimizu Slow Gold using bbq lumpwood and Titanium. More of a Firefly tbh but falls within these two effects I guess. Stunning effect. Would love to try Willow Diadem to see the difference between the two. Ned Gorski does some stunning Willow Diadem rockets!

I do like Neds work, been watching his vids for years. Are the rockets your referring to the video of the 2 horse tail Diadem rockets? If so you certainly picked the right word for them "stunning"

Yes. The two using sliced shell hemis. Interesting construction method he uses there. The stars are really chunky cut cubes too. I'm waiting on a shipment of various # sizes of FeTi from europe so I can give that formula a whirl.

Anyone know where to get 1-1.5mm lead star cores from in the uk?

Well, at the risk of over complicating it, I typed 1.5mm lead shot into google and got 134000 results, the first ones being the lead weight company and Amazon, or am I missing something. :)

Inth No I’ve got some somewhere but I stopped using them many years back.

If you simply take a small measure of the comp and wet it to the point it binds together to granulate it through a screen into dry powder you get a massive number of cores that burn out fully

Yes I seen the lead weight company but the shot size is from 0.3 to 1.6 mm, so I would assume you would get quite different sized stars when rolling. Other places in the uk want you to buy by 25kg sacks lol. Just wondered if there's any stores that sell a consistent size for pyro, I was thinking fishing weights but as I'm not really into that sport I wouldn't know what to look for.

If you’ve a clay shooting place you can collect tonnes for free if you walk down range!

You’ll still have to size the stars as you roll though no matter what cores you start with
