Hi,

I tried to upload a video but the forum won't let me, so I'll have to faff about with it before I can upload.

In the meantime, here's a photo or two. First a Saxon made with Lancaster's mix from his book and secondly a tree of gerbs which was ok, but the wheel failed to spin.

Blankley Silver fountain - Test

Forgive the long intro and short duration of the fountain as it was only a test. I did make a longer burning version. It's a good fountain.

Thanks peeps. They were okay.....need a bit of work but it's a step in the right direction. I shall definitely improve on the saxon.

I knew all of those bits of titanium from the bottom of the bags, that I was given when I worked in a firework factory would come in useful someday.

I like the Blankley silver fountain. Easy and relatively cheap. It's also nice to try stuff that few seem to have tried. Lots of Winokur glitters about for example, but I couldn't find anyone who'd tested this fountain. Clay choked. If I recall, a 5mm choke in a  15mm tube.

Here's a longer burning version.

Nice one Mortartube some very nice effects. Full marks for putting up a video of one that didn't quite work as it should, we often learn more from these than we do from complete successes.

Thank you BlackCat.

I am pretty sure I know the problems with the Saxon after dissecting it after firing.

The case was made from newspaper (It was a case I had made for something else and never used) and the layers flaked and clogged the tube inside and also each case needs another jet hole about half way up rather than just one in the end.

Pretty minor stuff really. Next time I'll fix a colour case on it to get a pretty circle too.
