Alright, I have multiple questions regarding firework legality in the US; the first is what kind of legal documents are required to make rockets, from very small ones, having the capability of a bottle rocket, to a rocket launching a mile or two into the air. The 2nd is what kind of legal protection do you gain when you obtain an explosives license, meaning where can you set off these explosives and how large can they be? And the 3rd is where would you obtain any of these licenses?
When one plays with fire, one is bound to get burndt.

miniskinny - in many ways, this is the wrong place to ask this question - we are serving the UK population in general - altough some of our american members might be able to ask that. A much better place will be to contact the PGI which is american orianted at www.pgi.org.

Another place that might be worthy of investigation is the rec.pyrotechnics archive, as that is predominantly an American populated newsgroup. The exact question you asked gets asked about every couple of weeks, so I wouldn't start a new topic, but if you search the archive you'll probably find plenty of information.

Its a dodgy topic this. There must be another with the same name. When it was opened and I saw it, no replies but it said that it had had 1,066 views.
