have you got ball mill?what method did you use to make Black powder?

Yes it was ball milled, then granulated. I dont 3 component mill as from the book i have it says that milling all 3 does not actualy impregnate the charcoal with KNO3 but is just a very effective way to mix them..I mill my components individualy with milling media then mill them just in the jar together to mix it.

The jar was not overloaded, it was only 100g milling, its quite slow though im searching for a faster one.

Well your book is wrong. Simple as that.

Making good bp involves hours of good efficient milling of all the components together. The chemicals are powdered but also forced into the pores of the charcoal making a much faster product.

To prove my writings try this. put 50g of kno3 into your mill for 3 hours, then seperately 50g of charcoal for 3hours and then seperatly again 50g of sulphur. Use these milled components to weigh out and mix as you have done before 50g of bp.
Then make another batch of 50g of bp with un milled chems and mill it mixed together for the same 3 hours.

You will find the second bp looks diferently and will be much faster.

i think that your mixing is not good...
i mill the 3 components together until it makes fine powder for almost 1.30-2 hours it takes.(Charcoal is already powder).

That's a small amount for test

I mill the charcoal and sulphur just not the charcoal and sulphur milled product with my milled KNO3

it says in that book black powder manufacturing testing and optimising that the pores in the charcoal are too small to be impregnated by the potassium nitrate

note that i did not say that milling is not important or that i use unmilled reagents
