Hi Richard & Karl, I finally got round to checking out the site on my backup PC. I found I can access the board fine with Internet Explorer, so it must be something about my settings. Will have to do a comparison. I also tried Firefox and that works great as well. Thanks for your advice

Hi again - Problem solved!! I did a comparison of the advanced settings in Internet Explorer, between my main and backup PC's. The only difference was that the main one, which I was having problems accessing this forum with, had the setting 'Use TSL 1.0' checked. I haven't got a clue what this does, or how it came to be checked, but I removed it and can access the site fine now. Back to the fireworks...........
