has anyone in the uk heard of this,
the usual 70/30 made using it, apparently wont ignite unconfined, supposedly
helping to make salute manufacture "safer"
i saw the info on the apc forum

alternative composition for fireball "lifters"
11 September 2011 - 04:52 PM
just came across this in my web surfing.
no personal experience with this composition, but its based around an old rocket comp.
instead of blackpowder to ignite fireballs in a mortar, it seems they use ZINKIT
ZINC 75%
SULPHUR 25%
http://www.pyronobel.../en/sfx/?id=123
zinkit is described on their site under safety information
