In Topic: posting pyro out of UK

Has anybody got any experience of sending pyro by surface mail out of the UK? There is plenty of info around regarding importing by mail but very litte re exporting.
Alternatively - do any of our well travelled members know of a pyro supplier in Switzerland?
Here is a list of suppliers in switzerland that might be of help.

Yeah looks deliberate to me too, you would not get me near that lot without me wearing some bomb disposal type PPE,....... mind you I would love to see a film of HSE bods watching this clip just for the reaction (shock on there faces). -

Its very sad.

OMG, are you serious? why would it be beyond you?
Firstly I have not rubished anyone, secondly I have not suggested any improper behaviour between the persons I mentioned, I am merely suggesting that having common goals or ideals can often have benificial effects (giving that company or persons the edge in perhaps getting the contract), this could come in the form of say belonging to a relevant trade association, business club, political party, taking someone out to lunch etc etc, in essence they call this NETWORKING! which is not illegal and common practice in every day society, that said, this is only a small part of the picture. -

Personally large wham bam sky burst firework displays of any kind leave me a little non-plus & wanting something a little different & more interesting or subtle on occasion, that said I thought the colours were different & better co-ordinated than usual, clock tower firing and music sampling were also pretty good & varied to suit the diversity of the crowd.

Im more than happy that British companies like Kimbolton are getting these contracts,...... having spoken with the Boris`s event team at the GLA a few years ago to convince him to use UK based firms for displays etc, they said in essence they will favour firework display contracts to UK companies providing they offer somthing "artistically" different as opposed to being just a british company for the sake of it (EU competition rules).
Once the tenders are up for renewl, in my opinion there is no reason why a few smaller firework display operators on this forum can not work together to do these big shows.
Overall I thought it was a good display, well done Kimbolton! -

I know there is an active industry out there but have not been able to make direct communicable contact with any of the factories, I would be particularly interested to do so with a smaller factory. Any pointers would be gratefully received.
You might have a little difficulty with this one because of child labour/bad publicity issues, I would be tempted to contact something like the indian trade commission or the UK`s department for trade & industry.
Have you tried `Standard` fireworks in India?
