    There is a service in the US called TechShop which are a chain of public access machine shop full of tools and machine equipment. You buy a membership and can go and use any of the equipment you like for your hobby projects etc. and they also run training courses. A bit like a gym membership, but for geeks.

    Does anyone know of anything similar in the UK as I would love access to a fully equipped workshop?
