Free storage boxes
16 April 2012 - 09:16 PM
Hi all, I've got 23 storage boxes I no longer need, they are actualy bullet boxes, they snap shut and stay shut until you need them open. I have used them to store my stars, some of them still have labels on them. All I'm asking is the postage of £3.50. I'll hang on to them for a week and then they go in the bin. Here's a picture.

I've had a clear out. SOLD
04 March 2012 - 10:14 PM
Hi all, I’m having a little clear out and I have some bit sfor sale to raise funds for future projects.
I’d like all these to go together, infact they are all packaged up ready for posting.
Here’s the list;
460gm - strontium carbonate
340gm - atomised zinc
470gm - accaroides resin (red gum)
915gm - red iron oxide
500gm – aluminium powder
500gm – copper II oxide
150gm – lead tetraoxide (red lead)
125gm – bismuth tri-oxide
28gm – gum Arabic
14gm – c.m.c.
185 – pine charcoal
110gm – straw charcoal (this makes extremely fast bp)
70gm – willow charcoal
A small amount of balsa charcoal ( makes fast bp )
These next chems are quite small sample amounts;
Dextrin, calcium carbonate, barium carbonate, cryolite andmagnalium 400
Then there is a small pestle and mortar and a very nice brass, aluminium and black resin fountain spindle, threaded on to a hardwoodblock and three wood rammers, this is for 26mm i.d. tubes.
If you were to buy just the chems not including thecharcoals and sample amounts, they would cost over £70.
This little lot weighs over 5kg so will cost me a tad over a tenner to post.
I’m asking £40 for the lot posted, I’ll accept paypal but I’d like it marked as a gift please (they’ve had enough off me lately).

Any questions, just pm me.
Ta dudes.

Whats the red clay
21 December 2011 - 09:55 PM
Hi all, does anyone know what the red clay is that the chinese ram into the bottom of there candle tubes, I saved a load from the commercial fireworks from bonfire night and I milled it with stainless balls for an hour. It came out very fine and I've tried it in place of bentonite for my rocket nozzles, it's as good as bentonite, I've done static tests side by side and the erosion to the nozzle is the same, mind you I do press my nozzles at 1800 psi, a little harder than my powder which is 1200 psi. -

Lead balls
10 August 2011 - 07:21 PM
I,ve been making these for catapult enthusiast for a while now and recently put them on ebay, then it occured to me why I originally bought the mould, for my own ball mill, which I still use. I thought I'd put the link up just in case anyone is having trouble getting them for their mill, I also cast a 22mm ball, I use a mixture of both in my mill with great results. If anyone's interestd in the 22mm balls PM me and I'll have to work something out as I haven't sold any of them before.
