mortar tubes HDPE or FIBERGLASS

Hey i was wondering if anyone has a website or somewhere to order some mortar tubes for 3inch mines i only need 1 tube but cant find any that supply the uk...

unless i wanted to buy 300 meters of underground water pipe of that thickness haha.. No thank you!

wow cool website man the mortar tubes arent that expencive either i was expecting grp to be around 10-15 each.. but then again last time i bought a mortar tube was about 4 years ago. and you have a ton of chemz on their too which is awesome!

Absolutely, card mortars are fairly common in professional displays for use with shells, I've got 12 racks of them I use for exactly that. There's always a debate on whether card or fibreglass is better, I personally believe card is stronger, if heavier and in need of extra waterproofing. The Essex winding ones are spec'd as mortar tubes with bung pre installed etc. Best of luck!

Awesome, can you reccomend me the wall thickness and height for the paper mortar tubes? i asked for a quote of 8mm wall 3inch id and 15inch length(height).. do you think the wall is too thin? if so please let me know how thick a good paper mortar wall should be. thanks alot 

I've always found it slightly odd they ask that, best thing to do is ask for their list of common mortar tube sizes and go from there. Having looked out an old copy:

for 3": ID = 76.6mm, Wall = 10mm, Length 533mm, with a 38mm bung. Price £1.93 each, excluding VAT and delivery.

I'd also add Coopermans' a top bloke to deal with too! 

Hi would these be ok for 3" mortar tubes?
The I/D is 3 inch and wall thickness is 11mm. 450mm length.

There is a good size of yellow HDPE to be had from roadside gas pipe laying gangs -if and when there is one near you- that fits 2" shells and one that fits 3" shells. Usually they just bury the bits we can use. BUT remember that they size tube by the outside diameter, we size tube by the bore.
