...then they went Chinese with Brock's International (Vulcan stuff with a Brock's label on it), then it died, came back with a second product range and is now dead consigned to history!

Wow that brings back memories, a devil amongst the tailors, I had one once.Their display range was quite good. One of these days I want to try a St. Andrews cross, or a Prince of Wales Feathers, or perhaps a devil amongst the tailors.
If my addled memory serves me well, it was a ground mine with four roman candles surrounding it, I do recall saving up for it as they were expensive.
It was brilliant, especially as we only had a small suburban garden, (far too small for a firework of that size), throwing variously coloured stars before a decently powerful lift charge covered the sky with sparks.
That was about 23 years ago,
Oh no, surely not that long ago.
