Old firework safety campaign films available for download here. Go to public information films section and look under section A-F. Have fun.

Also worth taking a look at http://www.britishpathe.com/. Footage is available depicting manufacture at Brocks factory in Hemel Hampstead, also footage recorded at Standard Fireworks of Huddersfield from the post-war period.

You have to have realplayer installed on your PC to play them; www.real.co.uk, click realplayer, then select "download the free player only", a download of RealPlayer10 should start, BUT if it doesn't then click "RESTART DOWNLOAD" if it doesn't begin, select "Open" in the dialog box when it appears and it will download and install for you. :)

Better DL RealAlternative instead :D No ads, smaller, no spyware, no installation required and FAST.

http://www.free-code...Alternative.htm

Also available: A WMV and a QuickTime Edition.

No need to install the original player software! They bring the codec along with the small *zip. package.

Those adverts are a bit contradicting, one is saying you should wear gloves when handling sparklers, and in another there is a guy holding a sparkler without a glove whilst talking to the camera.

I don't know which specific films you are talking about, but perhaps they were made many years apart and the advice changed in the interim period.
