Are firecrackers legal in the UK, If so where can I get hold of some?

NO. They were moved into Cat4 status along with aerial shells and other devices in 1997.

Like airbombs, they were probably deemed to be anti-social / weapon of choice of idiots. Also banned was anything of erratic flight including those mini-rockets, Chinese crackers, Fireworks with a NEQ exceeding 10kg, and of course shells. It was probably for the best, given that less than 10 years ago Joe Public could easily buy 4" and 5" titanium maroon shells.

I dread to think what might have happened by now had these still been in wide circulation.

all of those things are illegal in the uk? in canada there are many more legal fireworks all of what was mentioned except for firecrackers are legal here. although i think that that is going to end soon
