No, the fuse is fed through a hole in the cap, then taped to the side of the mortar. The only fuse that is taped is the Quickmatch inside the tube. I was a little worried about the caps being off, incase they are there to build up pressure inside the mortar or something.

I'll take them off when I set them up, and weatherproof as normal.

Cheers guys,
Karl

I've just made a rack to hold the 4" mortars. The 3" ones will be buried 3/4 of their legnth.
The rack will still be staked out, in 4 places. There is NO play what so ever with the mortars, the wood clamps them tight.

I am firing the BrightStar, ect stuff on behalf of Robin D (Robin1989). What seemed strange to me is that half of the selection box isn't even Cosmic stuff! Is Galaxy, Astra & Elite some partner companys of Cosmic?

Yeah the Black Mamba rockets are from Morrisons. Pretty beafy! If anyone wants a suggestion for a heavy and impressive cake, the Brightstar Satanic Descreation will suit you!
