A few more details would have been nice... such as who is doing the training day ?
Location seems very vauge.. is this being done by a proffesional outfit or someone who works within the industry making some extra cash on the side.

There are quite a few proffesional firers on the forum now and any of them could put together a "Cat 4" training day with course notes and a cert of attendance but if it is not from a recognised body it would be meaningless within the industry. Though I would say it would still be advantages to the atendees as they would have gained knowledge.

As we are now a registered socity and have gained some footing within the industry, there is a possibility that BPS can design a CAT 4 training course etc and approach the proffesional companies with it for there approval. That way we could offer a recognised training and certification program to the point that proffesional bodies may use the BPS as there training platform as it would eliminate the need for them to try and schedule training sessions in there busy shedules.

Guess the Admin team need to give this some thought and see if it is worth proceeding with.
My guess is that it would reduce costs as we are not a money making society and the only costs would be food and materials as our time would be donated in a sense. Even when it comes to materials, if we were to be recognised as the training platform for the proffesional companies it is possible that they would donate some of the Cat 4 materials hence reducing costs even further.
