Good to here everyone is happy with their tubes. For anyone interested im working on a new section on my site 'firwork making'. So if anyone is having problems or want a couple of tips or ideas check it out www.pyrotubes4europe.com/fireworkmaking.html im still working on it obviously but it will include lots of pics, vids and hopefully understandable tutorials. let me know if theres any problems with any of it though.

BTW a 3lb rocket could lift a friggin 6 inch shell never mind 4, it would prob take a 4 incher out of sight lol. The 1 inch Ti rocket to report on my site is a endburner with a slow bp/ti comp and it shot to 500 ft in 3-4 seconds and it only had 2.5 inches of propellant grain :) will upload a video tonight of one.

Off to make one now only takes 10 mins though so vid will be posted in a bit. The rp i use for these particular 1"ers is 1:1 milled BP:unmilled BP and 2 pinches of fine Ti powder. Nozzle of 1" rammed kat litter with normal flat ended ram and a 5mm slow drilled choke hole (might go into the propellant about 5mm which is why i first ram some 1:1 comp MINUS the Ti so theres no chance of it sparking). Will post vid in the 'rocket with headers' forum in a bit.

thanks very interesting! so there endburns, then good almost zero layout on tooling :) i,ll get some inch bar off ebay and get cracking! i wonder if you could have a small core say two inches up the grain then the rest endburner? the best of both worlds, you know like half chips, half rice  ,ps how long is the rocket body, and stick thanks

I think a 2inch core might be ok but could lead to a cato..would make them even more powerful if it never cato'd. The main reason i make them end burners is because i am only filling the top of the tube off with 5 grams of flash so they aint carrying anything too heavy and dont need the higher thrust of core burners. The tubes i have had good success with are 5 inches long and use a 2ft green garden cane for the stick, could do with being 3ft but aint got any longer ones left..they work ok with a 2ft stick though.
