I can`t see any compatibility issues with it, but I will say to be Very Careful with it, Hexavalent Chrome salts are known Carcinogens!

I do not know of any benefits from getting involved with this chemical or indeed anything related to Chrome, unless you want to poison someone or yourself!!!. Chromates were used in deley formulations for years but are rarely considered now due to the carcinogenic effects. Lead Chromate (what a compound!) was used in the formulation of brown smoke puff flash powder - you see this at the beginning (or end) of "Dads Army". My advice would be to keep well away.

While dichromate will increase the burning rate of perchlorate based compositions, you'd probably be better off modifying the formula as is. I'm not afraid of working with dichromate, but again it's not exactly something I enjoy working with.

You know there are much nicer compounds like MnO2 or KMnO4 to speed up the burn rate of chlorate, perchlorate, bromate etc...

KMnO4 ;)

I'd agree most of the way, certainly 100% for beginners. It does have a few applications but they are pretty advanced for most to go around piss arseing about with.

As for pyro with Chromium, it's a bit dodge. It's not too much of a problem unless you use huge amounts!

Lead Chromate (what a compound!)

I wonder what place a ferrate could have. I've heard quite a lot about them...
