Used to be in Greece (imported from italy in Bulgaria and then shipped to Greece) in the older days (some of them you can find these days).

These crackers are totally illegal in Greece and there many accidents involving bad fuses (wrong storage, moist illegal storage places). Last Year at least 3 people were killed using them apparently trying to dismantle and gather the flash powder for a bigger cracker. Each cracker (standard red) has 0.7 grams flash powder on it and there is no visco fuse inside. Not to mention many kids who lost fingers or hands.

They maybe were safe in the old days, now they are extremelly dangerous cause they are not manufactured anymore and if you find some they are stored for at least 10 years.

However the strike comp on the top is suitable for electric matches.

When I got mine from greece I got them from a small pyro shop, with mortar tubes, and other commercial fireworks in it. There were about 40 boxes of 60 crackers in a glass display cabinet. This doesn't suggest to me they are illegal...?

I can assure you cause i have the legislation on my hands that every boom maker, cracker etc illegal(flares too, they are only used on boats). Police doesn't even ask you and you go straight to jail.

There are some small commercial shops with 1.4G 1.4S category fireworks but not crackers.

This was last summer, during the fires. The man spoke little english and when I enquired about rocket tooling he said the police don't like them because of the fire risk. I think he thought I meant rockets

That means you were on one of the small illegal dealers they bust from time to time.

None of the licenced shops here sell boomers, not even under the table.
Things are pretty strict here.
All kinds of fuses are illegal, chorates and perchlorates too.

In Greece they are.

You can not find buy or own a roll of time fuse or visco.

I'm not talking about the fuses on ready made devices like cakes etc.

RP is one of the Worst contaminants you could even wish for in a Pyro manufacturing area, it`s an Extremely powerful reductor.
read all the posts and warnings on here about using flower of Sulpher with compositions and you get an idea that it`s Dangerous, well RP is several orders of magnitude More dangerous and reactive!!!

it is not safe with Any oxidizer at all! yes you read correctly
