We're London-based firework company looking for more firers for professional displays. We have shows throughout the UK all year round. No experience is necessary, but you MUST be over 18. Shows are predominantly hand-fired at the moment, but an electric system is on its way shortly! You'll be given hands-on, on-site training of our firing methods and safety procedures.

For more info please contact Dan on 0208 896 2866, or email dan@abfabfireworks.co.uk

"Remember: regardless of what your spend may be, your entire budget pays for the cost of the fireworks only. We will provide FREE OF CHARGE all materials, operators, risk assessment, set-up, clear-up and £5 million public liability insurance."

Gigantic Crab!!! is amazed to finally discover a charity firework company.
Gigantic Crab!!! is also thankful for the inherently poor olfactory ability of decapod crustaceans.

Good point- The website is confusing. They do appear to be a business, and yet offer displays as an non-profit service?

Its hard to tell whats the motivation there? Are they happy to do fireworks for free, simply for the fun of it?

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

the website doesn't state they operate on a "non profit" basis....... it also doesn't go into any detail of the costings they use when calculating how many fireworks you can have for your money ;)

you gotta love marketing eh :)

I guess a bit like a Driving Instructor saying- Driving lessons, totally free of charge- all you pay is a £22 an hour fee for hiring the car and fuel.

Yeah, but its the bit after that which has raised some curiosity - already quoted above by Crab, but i'll quote it again:

"Remember: regardless of what your spend may be, your entire budget pays for the cost of the fireworks only. We will provide FREE OF CHARGE all materials, operators, risk assessment, set-up, clear-up and £5 million public liability insurance. "

So, its assumed that they are making their profit on the cost of fireworks?

If you want to be a firer then how the company funds your training and experience is up to them!

The proprietor/MD of this company is a member of the EIG and the company has been in existence for several years.

IF you rise to lead firer for this firm then the pay is OK! They do not pay you for the first few training and experience shows, they do not charge you for the training either!
