They also sell Rosin and a whole load of other stuff, but most of it is quite specialist.

I emailed them, but got no response :( But today I phoned them and spoke to the sales director, who was really helpful, but to no avail. The smallest posssible order is 25kg. The price for 25kg orange shellac was ?168.75+VAT, and they havent sold red gum for something like 40 years, despite what it says on the website.
I guess I'll be trying skylighter...

If you want Red Gum these are the guys - http://www.afsuter.com/

Red gum is aka Accroid resin. You will want to buy it powdered unless you fancy a bit of excercise.

I phoned up A.F. Sulter, but again they only ship in 25kg orders. However the man gave the number of another company, that specialise in small orders, i.e. 100g and 1kg. The firm was called A.P. Fitzpatrick and the number was 020 7790 0884 (I couldn't find a web site).

They sell Accroid resin at ?16.00+VAT per kilo
and Pale (they don't do orange) shellac at ?9.25+VAT per kilo
Postage is ?6.50+VAT

Yes they are good, I've used them.

At the risk of stating the obvious, don't say what you want it for - they are an artists supplier, so say nothing (best) or that you want it for art work.

PS Red gum is the goods - i've made some lovely stars and coloured fires with it using Rev Rons formulas...

I have often found even when contacting chemical companies that most people I speak to are either ignorant of the strict laws, or experiment themselves (if they are at a lab chemical supplier), and so are very helpful (after all, what legitemate purpose is there for ordering a kilo of magnesium and a kilo of KClO3!)
