Hey guys, I'm new here

I'm in London and I'm coming to a moment in life where I want to propose to my partner. My idea is, I want to take her out...after work, in the night somewhere in London...I've yet to find that place

And basically do a small 5-10 minute firework display for her, just the two of us...then I'll propose..because I'll use it as a metaphor for her..eg. she lights up the day/night for me all the time

Now I have one problem...I can't seem to find a place in London I could use to pull this off. Like a park or an area...I'm willing to pay to hire a place out

It has to be in Central London - easy to get to via tube etc

Any thoughts?

Fireworks in public places are a big no-no so you need a private place for the fireworks,

Barge on the Thames by Tower Bridge £1000 a second though

Take her to MDJ101's demo night,

Find a fireworks show and use that.

Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..

Try contacting this guy!.........he`s done small pyro displays on the Thames!

Your other option is to display a "will you marry me" message on to a building using a projector (a bit like that `Gail Porter` publicity stunt).

Some hotels have firework shows for their wedding guest's, try a hotel that specialises in weddings! I'm sure they will help:)

You will of course have to arrange insurance!

Does it have to be accesable by tube ? perhaps hire a car, or if you have one, drive to a place where one of these pyrotechnists from this site can put a display up for you,, at a reasonable price i`m sure , if not for, free or cost, its gotta be cheaper than a 1000 pounds thames river cruise, more intimate and meaningfull,, " come on guys " somebody must live in the London area, whom can deliver

Well it has to be kind of accessible...if possible in the London area

I don't mind who I go to set it up, I'm more than happy to use someone from this site if not doing it myself on a smaller scale...however I don't drive, she doesn't drive...we both rely on the transport system of London, the train and we both work in the same building so...

I was thinking Primrose Hill would be possible

This may well be more difficult than it sounds. As mentioned already, you do need some private space. I'd say that really you would need to find someone with a very large private garden to do a proper private display.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Look to see if Carter's Steam Fair has a show near where you can get to. Then ask if they have fireworks on the saturday evening. - OFTEN they do but not always, Go to the fair -it's a vintage fair with steam rides. At the end of the saturday evening they sometimes have fireworks. FOC!
