Hi All,

I am new here, but have been watching for a few days and decided to make a post.

Can anyone offer any advise on 'Atomic Fireworks'.

I have been offered what looks like a pretty good 83 peice assortment called 'Streetwise' for £50.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with these.

Thanks for any advise.

I've never even heard of that brand!
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

I could only find their website,

http://www.atomicfir...products_id=168

but it doesn't mention what the contents are, or the 'loudness' factor.

I don't think they are a "brand" just a retailer :)

The Streetwise could be a Dancing Red Devil item.................

Thanks for that, bit of a trek from Leicester though.

Would you recommend them for keeping the kids attention for an hour or so ???

I had one last year! And it was pretty damn poor!

The big rockets were the worst I've ever had, seemed like they had nothing but air inside, foutains were pretty lame, and the rest of the rockets and candles were no better to be honest.

Just boring stuff, no way worth £50.

My advice, avoid it and don't be dissapointed on the big night. Heres mine from last year...

Stuff like 10 identical roman candles suggests this box is very much designed to play "the numbers game" IE appeals to people who want "lots of fireworks". If you like letting off loads of individual fireworks (which, to be fair, I do) this might have some appeal, but for a display, or if this is your main purchace, probably not a good idea.

Thanks for the replies guys,

It is for me and the kids for the back garden, but as you say, quantity does not beat quality.

Can you tell me the noise factor, as I like to be able to hear the things ( and people 1/2 a mile away :) ).

Or can someone offer a good selection box for around the £50 mark that is readily available.

There is an all round the year shop in Leicester, I may have to go down and speak to them. If anyone knows the people please let me know.

Thanks again for all the help.

hows about two brothers companion sets for £50 or a Black Cat all night party for £50? Rotherham though so may be a bit far. Try Starsky a bit closer and has some really good stuff

How far away is Lichfield from Leicester?

I believe there is a Big D's store in Lichfield like in Preston and they have a pretty big range of Bright Star Fireworks stuff this year, the biggest box 'Imperial' is £49.99 half price from RRP at £99.99 aswell as loads of other stuff.

Much better choice than that Streetwise box, I let my Streetwise box off on November 4th last year as I wasn't sure it would perform on the big night and I'm glad I did, it was poor, you will just end up dissapointed. :(

Check out Big D's, if it's not to far, but give them a call first to see if they have stock. Heres my topic...

And the Streetwise Box, nothing in it was very loud at all, those big looking rockets were shockingly bad.

2 Companion boxes for £50 sounds good, that looks a good box, I have one.

Even better value is Epic, 3 Brothers Companions for £70.49 They also do some very loud cakes called Thunder King (a 25 Shot cake for £5.29) im sure if you contact them before going there then they'll also make the trip worth while B)

well if you want 3! it is and spend another £10 on petrol getting there doesnt look that good then. There are other outlets other than epic in this country and ones that dont put false rrp on items who give a personnal service too and know all the items they sell.. sorry but i have been bottling that up for months.

Waiting for the backlash...

However I know this as annoyed another retailer far more than me.
