This is the CMC I've been using for a bit to bind BP: http://www.rapidonli...lulose adhesive, and it's very tough when used at 2%, and won't upset the oxygen balance as much as dextrin. Burning rate with BP seems pretty good, as good as any of the normal polysaccharide binders, though had some corrosion problems with stars containing magnalium. Nice price too . I'd like to try some of the hydroxyethyl cellulose, that could have some interesting properties. Be aware that some things sold as CMC are in fact the sodium "salt" of it, hence will colour flames quite yellow
Good source, I never thought to look there and I buy loadsa stuff from them too.
