Hey just seen a load of new gear added to Epics Youtube page for 2010 and some of this stuff looks quality. A couple look a lot like Brothers items though, for example there is one that looks the same as Open Fire but stilll great looking stuff, especially a new video of Screaming Spiders. :)

Take a look...

Hi Guys,

We have been looking closely at the Screaming Spiders and would like to make it exactly as the original. The old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies here.

We thought long and hard about it as many people have said that they like the quicker version, it is certainly more ferocious than before. However our range already has many quick paced finale barrages with durations around the 30 second mark (ultimate devastation, awaken, atomic tornado, devils dungeon, etc). We felt that sticking to the original and keeping a variety in the durations of our finale pieces would be the best move.

Screaming Spiders, along with Thunderous Finale, have always been top sellers of ours and firm favourites with our customers. Both have durations of about 1 minute and give a good display with a steady, even pace.

So, regardless of the new video you may have seen of the Screaming Spiders, rest assured it will be exactly the same as the original when it arrives in the UK in the summertime.

We value the opinion of members of this forum very highly and if any of you reading this would like to offer us any queries or criticisms, they would be very gratefully received.

Hope to see you all soon!

Do you have an estimated time for arrival? I know it's usually around August, early September etc.

The other question- will you be stocking many other brands, or are you moving towards being more of an own-brand specialist?

The Epic brands contain some great items , of course, but other brands add a bit more variety too.

.....

The other thing I'd say, too, is that it's always good to see a nice range of fireworks selling at below the £10 mark, and below the £5 mark. Basic cakes, candle packs, rocket packs, ice fountains etc as these represent good value for money, and can be useful to to fill out displays, and just for the fun it.

I liked for example, those Black Cat cakes last year. :D

Hope your keeping well, and thanks for your comments.

New 2010 stock will be arriving from June / July. As soon as it lands we will add it to the website.

With regards to brands we will be stocking the following this year: Black cat, Standard, Men Shun, Bright Star, Fireworks International, Brothers, Cube, Red Dragon, Boom Time, Royal Party, Cosmic, Next Generation, Astra, Golden Lion, Flash, Dynasty, Benwell, Midas, TNT, Panda, Marvel, Paramount, Oriental, Majestic and of course Epic Fireworks.

With respect to £4.99 rrp fireworks and £9.99 rrp fireworks, this year we have introduced many more lines both 1.3g and 1.4g. Will update you all soon with more details.

Also, as most of you are aware, we have outgrown our current site in Batley, West Yorkshire. We have had many many happy years trading here but onwards and upwards this summer as we move our main premises to a purpose built 5 acre site in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Situated 60 seconds off the M1 junction 36 and with ample free parking, we hope our new site will be easier to access and encourage more visitors from around the country.

The new showroom is being built as we speak, big enough to give us plenty wall space to display all of the fireworks we have in stock and all the new ones on the way this year. We will also have a very, very large storage capacity so running out of fireworks will never be an issue. We know that when you have driven a few hundred miles the last thing you want to hear on arrival is that we are out of stock on that key firework!

We will still maintain the Batley site, as a secondary outlet in the North of England, for a year or two just to help out our local customers and to supply smaller orders locally.

We will post more info in the next few weeks in the meantime here's a sneak prview of some new fireworks for 2010.Posted Image

LOL!

Distracted by lapdancers.

Nah, seriously- I have ongoign computer problems- I think they are fixed, but then they seem to crop up again.

There looks to be some really good stuff from the videos- it would be nice to see it "in action" , too. Sometimes with a video it's hard to judge sonics, volume etc- as well as general effects. Some effects (such as crosettes) never look great on video, but can look wonderful when fired.

Deep Impact looks very impressive- it's good to see a fanned barrgae with a longer duration. B)

Do you have any rough ideas regarding selling price?

Personnally, I think my spending pattern this year will be as last year- lots of small-medium fireworks (£5-£15 selling price) , with perhaps a couple of "big un's" for finales.

Also inumerable rockets and fountaisn etc bought and let off just for the fun of it. :P

Is there a date set for leaving Batley? I liked Batley a lot- I'll try and make at least one more visit there.

Is it going to be 1.3G this year, or a mixture of 1.4G and 1.3G , or mainly 1.4G?

Cheers

The more 1.3G the better for me. :P Looking forward to see the new shop anyway. Wereabouts exactly is it? I know it's near or in Barnsley, how far from the current site?
