I have an acquaintance who has come across a few old standard bits and pieces.
I guess some of you out there will be able to identify the vintage better than I. He has stumbled across an old standard portfire filling rig and about 500 empty portfires. I guess the portfires are pre 1988 due to the lack of BS7114. He has also stumbled across a few packets of late Air Bombs, Chinese made visco fused jobs.
The question he has is there any value to either of these items, are they in any way collectible? obviously the AB's would have to be deactivated.

A little autopsy picture
There were 1.3g of 16 - 20 mesh grain lift powder, 2.5g of soft red clay sealing the base of the tube and 0.7g of dark flash in the noise unit.

have you got pics of the portfire filling rig? also may I ask how did he manage to find these? I remember when I last saw standard they had a lot of old stuff left in the sheds but now with the majority of the buildings gone I can only assume it was skipped.

The person I know was employed to clear a number of the sheds! lucky bugger!
The jig just consists of a wooden box containing about 500ish portfires, a funnel and a ramming rod. So not what you would call hi tech

Do you know when he was employed to clear them like when it finished production or last year or so when they demolished the sheds? would be interesting to see what other goodies he has collected like machinery parts etc.
